Frequently Asked Questions

What inspires your paintings?

Most of my paintings begin with a moment in nature that makes me pause—North Carolina sunsets, the layered greens of trees and plants, or a place that carries a strong sense of memory. I’m less interested in painting a perfect landscape than in capturing how a place feels when you remember it.

Will the painting look exactly like the photos?

I photograph each painting carefully in natural light so the colors appear as accurate as possible. However, colors can vary slightly depending on screen settings.

If you ever have questions about a painting before purchasing, you are welcome to contact me and I’m happy to send additional photos.

What kinds of paintings do you offer?

I offer three categories of work:

Signature Works – My most developed paintings, usually larger pieces with the most layered detail and attention. These are often framed and represent the strongest examples of my
work.

Studio Works – Finished paintings created in the studio that may be smaller or simpler than Signature pieces, but still carefully completed and ready to hang.

Spontaneous Works – Smaller, more experimental pieces. Many are painted on canvas panels and may be unframed. These are quick studies or moments of inspiration captured without extensive polishing.

What materials do you use?

Most paintings are acrylic on canvas or canvas panel. Some works are presented in floating frames, while others are unframed so collectors can choose their own framing style.

Are the paintings original?

Yes. Every painting is an original work created by hand by me in my Raleigh studio.

Do you offer prints?

Select paintings may be available as high-quality prints, notecards, or other items. These allow collectors to enjoy the artwork at a lower price point while the original remains one-of-a-kind.

How are paintings packaged for shipping?

Paintings are carefully wrapped in protective materials and shipped in sturdy boxes to ensure they arrive safely.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the artwork and destination. Shipping charges will be calculated at checkout.

For reference:

  • Small works: approximately $8–15
  • Medium works: approximately $15–25
  • Larger works: approximately $25–40
  • Large Signature Works: $40-80

Do you accept returns?

Because artwork is a personal purchase, I generally do not accept returns. However, if a painting arrives damaged, take a picture of it and please contact me within 48 hours so I can make it right.

Can I see the painting in person?

If you’re in the Raleigh area, you may occasionally see my work at local art shows or markets. Announcements for these events will be shared on Instagram.

Do you take commissions?

Yes, depending on availability. So much fun! If you are interested in a custom piece inspired by a place or color palette you love, feel free to reach out through the contact page.
